Saudi Government is realizing how extensive the terror network is in the country, talk about the pet you raised coming back around to bite the hand that fed it. Iraq is the no taxes, small tariff paradise of the world! even factoring in the security situation. Its surprising how fast business seems to have come to Iraq, business people have more money when you don't have to pay off everyone and their relatives. American companies won't buy American products. American furniture makers who sign a petition supporting anti-dumping which would impose tariffs on Chinese products are being boycotted by American retail chains. Lets have a Muslim Football tourney in California, and here is a good idea, lets name the teams Intifada, Soldiers of Allah and Mujahideen. PR move of the year, Someone should name a team Crusaders and see how well that goes over. Perfect examples of liberals talking to each other and actually thinking anyone outside of their little circle gives a damn. Graydon Carter, editor of Vanity Fair is "gunning" for Bush next year. This has Joanna Walters all giddy, if Graydon book is anything like his last great Bush hit piece where almost every item was laughable wrong. It could make for a good comedy. Chirac says veils are unacceptable and aggressive, well this will not sit well with Muslims in France and I would be right

France wants to be in the lead of a new Euro reaction force which will be used by the EU and Nato. Britain and Germany one of these days is just going to go to France and say " look, we indulged your fantasies long enough, go to your room." I hope it goes better than the French built aircraft carrier Its been a confusing couple of days, but a presidential spokesman has come out to say Putin will not sign the Kyoto Deal, which officially kills the treaty. But the deal was already dead. China, Russia even if they did sign it, were not going to follow it because it would hurt their economies, most of the EU who were big backers of it are not close to meeting their goals. Nice idea which makes people feel all good inside, but the execution and overall setup of the plan just sucked. I am beginning to think that Howard Dean lives in his own little bubble world where logical thinking cannot enter. He said the same line about the South, but this time I guess he figured if he just named one state, it would be better for him. "To be honest with you, I think it's time that elections in Texas were not about guns, God, gays and abortion," he said. "I think it's time elections in Texas were about jobs, health care and education." California will not allow the sale of the new glow in the dark fish

Kyoto Treaty is basically dead. Russia won't go near it because it would hurt their economy(duh) and since their competitors won't follow it, why should they. The best part is nearly all the EU members are nowhere near meeting the deadline date of 2010 to cut emissions by 8%. Its dead Jim. France has huge problems in the Ivory Coast where they are in peacekeeper mode, pro-government forces want to continue and finish the war with the rebels in the north. If the French do not get out of the way, they are going to attack french interests in the country. Rotterdam wants to ban the poor from moving to their city. Hardball transcript with Chris Matthews interviewing Howard Dean. Dean is very naive in foreign policy, not liking right to work laws and saying everyone should be forced into a union is idiotic. Euro climbs to a record high, and a gloomy forecast comes from German retailers with tumbling consumer confidence. A good combination to get stressed over.
