Media: Powerline tipped by a reader links to an ABC news query for a story on inauguration day. "Jan. 19, 2005 — For a possible Inauguration Day story on ABC News, we are trying to find out if there any military funerals for Iraq war casualties scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20. If you know of a funeral and whether the family might be willing to talk to ABC News, please fill out the form below: " ABC, a couple of hours later after it got around the blogsphere took down the request but Captain Ed has an archive of it here. Polipundit's Lorie Byrd captures the general feeling of this stunt by ABC news. This is truly vile. Captain Ed links to a Power Line post that shocked me, but not nearly as much as it disgusted me. I don’t know whether I feel more like taking a shower or throwing up. I would truly hate to see anything any lower than this from the mainstream media, but I fear that I will. I would comment more on it, but don’t think I could do so without using inappropriate language, and this is a relatively family-friendly site. I'm not shocked by this at all. If there is a good event or story happening for the right, the MSM will look to find some negative angle to work along with that event or story. Nothing is tasteless or off limits for the MSM when it comes to conservatives. The only surprise I have is they didn't have this story lined up already and had to ask for it at such a late date. I have no doubt some major paper or another network will run a story like this by Friday night.
