Christmas making a comeback part 39393

Christmas mania: That time of the year and more local governments are getting rid of Happy Holidays for Christmas.

This holiday season there won't be a holiday parade in Montgomery. Mayor Bobby Bright has decided it's time for the "Christmas Parade" to return. The mayor made the name change after hearing complaint after complaint last year about the city's 2001 decision to drop "Christmas" in favor of the politically correct "holiday," said Michael Briddell, executive assistant to Bright. The 2001 name change came about when the parade returned from a seven-year hiatus. Bright made his decision at the beginning of this year. "We heard from a lot of people who wanted the parade to be called the Christmas Parade," Briddell said. "So that's what we are doing."
